Feross Aboukhadijeh has quickly become something of an Internet celebrity thanks to his creation of YouTube Instant, which took him only several hours to create. Some don't think it's that big a deal, but clearly Google and YouTube do.
Aboukhadijeh, a Facebook intern, was offered a job by YouTube CEO Chad Hurley the other day, and yesterday went to YouTube headquarters, where he apparently accepted the job. On his blog, Aboukhadijeh writes, " I look forward to supporting and improving ...

Yelp recently won a case against a dentist who tried who sued the site over a negative review, claiming defamation and "deceptive acts and practices" under New York state law.
The defamation part was pretty much old hat. This is not the first time someone has tried to sue the owners of a site (or even Yelp specifically) because they didn't like a review. The second part was new to the story, though the court still moved to dismiss it. Technology and intellectual property attorney Evan Brown writes ...

Google is the dominant force in Europe—there is no other search engine which even comes close to Google’s market share. As I wrote in my last article, Europe could use some competition for Google. Steve Rubel kicked off a furore among the SEO community during the Google Instant launch event on wednesday last week, which most people were following on Youtube. The furore was specifically caused because he blogged a classic "SEO is dead" post - somewhat of a tradition among the bloggerati. Matt Cutts and Vanessa Fox were quick to respond and steer the discussion away from hysteria. Nonetheless, to give credit to where credit is due, Rubel honed in on the question on everyone's lips, "how does ...
